Dhamphir's connection to the netherplane causes them to have a presence of
it constantly surrounding them which they normally try to suppress to fit
in better into communities where they live and hide in. But when a powerful
dhamphir goes to battle he strengthens his connection to the netherplane
and openly allows his overpowering presence to be felt by mere mortals.
This pure essence of the nether frightens them to the point that they
become unwilling to face the dark master and sloppy in their actions in
combat. While mortals are usually the victims of dhamphirs they sometimes
must also face hostile undeads. Their connection to the netherplane
overshadows all the other connections nearby making it hard for others to
maintain and use their connection. When a dark master feeds on the blood of
the living his empowering presence affects nearby undead minions.
