The city is home to a total of about five to ten thousand elves and dwarves who derive their income mainly from agriculture, although hunting and livestock breeding bring a little more variety to eating just bread and turnips. However, cattle rearing in particular has recently been difficult due to the escalation of raids by Eskarans. They have never reached the city, but grazing livestock outside is an attractive target for the horde.
